Why we love it
The K-Duo is two coffee makers in one body: one side takes K-Cup pods for a single 6 to 12oz cup, the other brews ground coffee into a 12-cup glass carafe, and both draw on one 72oz removable tank. That is why it turns up in so many rentals and shared kitchens. Whoever wants one quick cup uses a pod, and a morning for four gets a pot. The carafe side can be set to brew up to 24 hours ahead and pauses so you can pour mid-brew; the pod side has strong, extra-hot and brew-over-ice settings. The carafe is glass on a warming plate, so drink the pot rather than leaving it.
Pros
- Pods for one cup, ground coffee for a 12-cup carafe
- One 72oz removable tank shared by both sides
- Brew-over-ice, strong and extra-hot settings
- Carafe timer up to 24 hours ahead
- Pause and pour mid-brew
Cons
- Glass carafe on a warming plate, not thermal
- Bigger than a pod-only machine
- Cost per cup on the pod side is far higher than ground coffee
